Our Little Story

The Umonics Method ensures holistic memory development of all children between 3-6 years of age. We aim at maximising individual potential by creating strong foundations in memory techniques for lifelong learning through play and developmentally appropriate practices. Through our enrichment program, we also intend to develop a healthy attitude, ethical values, skills of critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity, and literacy. By doing this, we play a part in making sure there is a smooth transition from preschool to primary school, thus, enabling children for a productive and satisfying life in future.

  • Founder of The Umonics Method

The Umonics Method was founded by memory athlete, Sancy Suraj with the goal of teaching preschoolers memory techniques. According to Sancy “Preschoolers must be taught how to read, write and more importantly memorise.”

  • Partnering Up With Early Childhood Experts

Sancy then partnered up with early childhood educators and developers to write a curriculum specifically for preschoolers from Nursery 1 to Kindergarten 2. According to Sancy, “Teaching preschoolers memory techniques is a whole different ball game as compared to teaching primary school students, secondary school students and adults. That is the reason why partnering up with experts in early childhood educators was crucial. How preschoolers learn as compared to us to a day and night difference.”

  • The Curriculum

The Umonics Method curriculum was developed in line with Singapore’s Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) Framework. ECDA serves as the regulatory and developmental agency for the early childhood sector in Singapore, overseeing key aspects of children’s development below the age of seven, across both kindergartens and child care centres in Singapore.
